there is a knowing within

that will return one home

as easily as the river finds the sea

as easily as the bud gives rise to the flower

as easily as the leaf falls with wind 

and spirals to the soft earth

as easily as the child finds the mother in the crowd

as easily as the water flows down the mountain

and the rains plop on the green leaves

as easily as the sun reflects on the still lake

there is a knowing within

that will return one home
