Are you sleeping?
are you dreaming?
the land of here and now
still sits as it always has
and your curtains are drawn
Is it that you don't love the light?
or that you want to fight alone
the demons that haunt you
in the dark

There is another way to live
In the depths of the soul
there is a door
that is open
and if you go to it
and step thru it
there will be a shaking up of your
world with its dreams
and shadows

But like the sturdy tree in the wind
what will blow away
will only be the little
things of mental clinging
that have crowded you in
what is left is the trunk
rooted to the earth
