A seed of faith

if the story of another were true

it would never end

it lives for a time and is gone

like all passing things

if the truth were a lie

it would not be spoken of by sages

and the scriptures would be untrue

this cannot be so

what lives and breathes in the scriptures
and in the words of sages

are direct substantial experience

of the absolute

in which mind is completely extinguished

like a lamp blown out

never to rise again

no-mind

that which has always existed prior to the 

story

that which rests at the heart of all

If you have even a seed of faith in truth
and take steps towards it
a river of grace is waiting
to clear the path

your way will not take you there
if it could, you would be at peace now
come and pick up another road
the path of the mystic
you will lose all the heavy baggage
and gain the pearl
of great price
the jewel in the heart
that knows nothing of the ways of mind
and suffering

but you must let go
and begin
