with notes that rise sweet...

i know spirit lives,
i have heard it, seen it, felt it, touched it,
tasted it, loved it and argued with it too...
it has played through my soul like music
and a fresh gurgling spring
it has found it's home inside my being
where there is no logical mind to sting it
it has found it's home in my fingers and breath
and heartbeat
strumming like a guitar or resonating like a
violin with notes that rise sweet
it has put it's fragrance in my hair
and on my skin
and in my guts too, there is this fire
growing
how can i explain it?
it has not been easy, not once,
but it burns inside deep and well
