since time beginning, maya has cast a shadow

over perfection

creating the false perception

what a false barren stream this is...
lay it down to rest on the fields of dreams that are like
empty shells to blow with the winds ...
for no sweet fruit will blossom from these desires
to be more of this or less of that ...
friends,
this only fuels the fires of ego and its haunting ways
there is nothing that ego can give that is real
as its passions need to be  tamed
reigned in like an unruly creature
and put back away from the flow of pure grace...
then clarity and discrimination can begin to dawn...
with this said
surrender is the only way...
there is nothing that you have done right or wrong
that is related in the least to the pure core that lies
within the heart...
and even the most *holy* being will not awaken to
the truth if the persona is still at the center. ...
what is needed is a cutting thru of the polarities of mental waves
this is what will open to the light
and the knowing that there is no
validity to any mental story (no matter how holy or unholy it may appear)
not one drop of it rings as real...
so beloved sons and daughters of the way...
be still and rest easily as an open minded one that
is not content with feeling the world is a certain way
or that the being is locked into a certain cage of identity...
this is so false
be a dove on the branches of shadow
that purity that rests ever still and within all ..
not externalized to be made into some-thing...
this is not what God intended you to be
as God is true complete happiness and joy undivided
freely flowing..
and your being has been made the same...
not-different...
love be still now
and live this moment
always
sat chit ananda...

the seer...

a mind ridden with thought does not know another way 

than itself ...

it cannot know the pure 

or have a home there ever ...

and you cannot understand it as one would something

that feels exterior

because it is yourself and not out there
like a wave that goes on and on...

it is here as the seer

free from thoughts that overshadow

it lives always
as the one SELF

fallacy vs reality...

there was a patient i worked with on hospice that was quite

obviously ready to die soon...

he was extremely thin, weak

and had no appetite

he was showing all the signs of a failing body

yet around his entire house

he had taped up all kinds of affirmations

that spoke to a healthy vibrant body and life...

and it was this type of mentality he attached to

even up until his last breathe...

this was not an uncommon happening on hospice

so many clung to the fantasy or projection of what 

they *think* they are or *want to be* versus directly looking at the 

reality...

which robbed them of an opportunity to go deeper

and face what was underlying the cover

of projections...

to *see* one needs to sink deeper into the driving 

forces that are creating the suffering patterns

not run or put a more appealing cover over them ..

this really keeps one treading water on the surface

and somewhere deep down there is a feeling 

that they are fooling themselves --

because the mind does not find rest on the surface...

so again, to begin to be free of conditionings 

one needs to see the inherent fallacy that lies within the stories

this takes persistent witnessing, questioning and continuing

to bring the mind back to the moment  --

eventually one will have enough distance to *clearly see*

the rising storylines

and will be shocked at what has been driving the being

for so long...

also it will be seen that this energy has no steady presence

that it comes and goes...  

this is the beginning of discrimination 

which has to be in place for mind to begin to dissolve...

with no discrimination one is truly buying into the story lines

and many times not aware of it at all...

awareness gets sharpened thru the practices and thru grounding

into the pure experience of the moment...  

this is the only way...

self-affirmations are not the way by any means...

they only serve to solidify a separate identity --

ego loves to feel that it has become bigger and better 

and indeed this is what affirmations do...

the true SELF needs no affirming --

it is self evident and eternally present  --

it is revealed when one *stops* affirming that

they are *this* or * that*

or *too much* or *too little*

  

so please dear ones --

stay persistant with the stories in the way of engaging 

practices and witnessing ...

do not buy into the drama for one minute as not 

one drop of it is *real* and lasting ...

and reality is what is the goal...

you are to set yourself in the waters and directly
experience this reality -
to know what it truly tastes like --
and this alone is what will wash the ache
of duality away....
so be sturdy beloved one
and do not tangle with the wayward energies or attempt
to find anything of truth in the shaded byways of mind
come stay in this way of light --
and call to rest all that is not settled
once and for all...

Beyond all opposites...

ego is under the delusion that a *me*
will be awakened
and this is where one can get caught up
and identify a personal self with
liberation which is so entirely false...
what is revealed within the non-dual consciousness
is that there was *never* such an entity as
a separate self --
separation has never existed at all...
and one can only say at the point of awakening
that prior to this, one had been within a dream state...
all pairs of opposites such as *i am or am not
good enough* or * i am or am not worthy enough*
hold no water whatsoever when mind falls

ego only knows opposites --
and sets out to try to be perfect
to fill holes and
insecurities due to feeling incomplete...
.. not good enough, not right enough...
..not this, not that...
none of this is *true* --
absolutely none...
and you are not what you *think* you are...
and there is nothing that you have done *right*
or *wrong* that has anything to do
with what you truly are at the core of being...
there is a paradox that great effort *is* needed to
enter liberation ...
but there is no one that remains to claim it in the end
the one making efforts goes... dissolves and
no doer remains...
mind is so not able to grasp it even for a moment...

forever as o ne..

it is mind that identifies
with the passing phases
and shifting tides of thought
in which there arises delusion
as the man who sees his reflection
in the clear pool and states,
lo, that is me..
and disregards the light in which
all reflects..
dear one,
this is your only imprisonment
that you have misidentified yourself
with a body and mind
this error has created a world
within that you cling
all of it is 100% false
unreal as the mirage
in the desert
not one drop of it
rings as truth
so cast it off as if it were
an old soiled robe
leave it to turn to dust
and blow with the wind
think not of this body/mind
identity again ...
as it is to hold you in a trance
that does not show
what is real
not even for a second

i would speak it clear and well

and if i could bring my heart

and seal it to yours
so that you could walk straight
and be in beauty and truth
like the light you are

been wronged inside
by your clear discrimination
in seeing that which is false

so what is it that keeps you in this
way of opposite seeing?
not God
not the world
or any other creature
only yourself
and what will take away your veil
that hides this most plentiful
glory filled light
it is grace alone
and this is to be found *here*
within the pure moment..
come dear
see what is real
and speak only what is right
you will then know your
true nature
and live forever
as o ne...

what a stunning difference.. this light...

in the heart there is a fullness
that is not of minds creation
and an emptiness
in which no separate self resides
just the ocean of pure life
still and beautifully silent *is*
if you are to be in it
even for a brief second
you will taste of the stunning difference
between the world of thoughts
and daydreams
and this perfect, still light
what a stunning difference...

what is original mind?

what the masters call the *original*

is what existed prior to the separative  

drama

it is the pure reality that gives potential

for all appearances to be 

it is the mind stripped bare of shadow

and conditioned covers that hide 

it is like the lamp that
shines on the waters 

and reveals the ripples or the 

rushing waves

this is the nature of the original mind

to light up what it is here 

as an objective witness 

and nothing else...

it appears as o ne singular

light 

it has no qualities within it

it does not come or go 

it does not rise or fall

it does not follow sensual happenings

it is distinctly different in nature 

than that which carries mentation

it cannot be held in the grip of the personal

nor does it belong to any-body

it is just what it is

raw beingness, consciousness and bliss

Clarity

to begin to *see*
the mind must slow down
as the mud settles at the bottom
one can see a little clearer
what is there -
but if the mind continues to be
stirred by every little thing
then there is nothing but
murky waters
which results in no clarity

what is lasting

Heaven and earth
are the making of mind
they do not live in the o ne
or rise in the heart of
a liberated soul
they are pictures and captions
that mind is entranced with only
and do not bring any lasting
knowledge

Original mind

Dear one,
your original mind is so fresh and clear
why drag in the world?

Buddha Mind

Mind is empty in it's pure state
self luminous and clear
nothing that can be described
as it has no origin
it is causeless
that which is caused has a birth
and therefore subject to decay and death
that which has no origin
is untouched and remains constant
through the shades of causal happenings

the nature of pure mind is liberation
appearances that rise within it
are empty and insubstantial
to allow mind to rest within it's true nature
and not grasp at appearances
is to get a taste of buddha mind

Pure mind is liberating
pure mind liberates thoughts and appearances
if there is no grasping
like a bird flying into boundless space
this is a thought
that rises in pure mind
a cloud formation does not touch it's essence

When one is seeking
quickly the natural state of mind is lost
and there is attachment
let the seeker go
and rest within the purity of space
have no aversion towards movement
remain equal minded
make no efforts towards
altering anything
strain at nothing
resting within space without modifications
is to get a taste of buddha mind

Appearances need a light to be seen
this is the light of the self
appearances are interdependent like
reflections

Mind is one - within the heart of being
Be still and know
