onward soul...

if i set beside you a note with writing of what is true
will you pick it up and hold it near your heart
as a precious gift from the self of all..
it will be left in there to sink deep and plant
itself in the rich earth of purity and
newness that has never been tainted
could you seat yourself as you hold it near
under the tree with blossoms falling like bright rain
in the wind
with the cool waters beyond flowing easily
and listen to the doves on the branches cooing
as the evening sun sets...
dear one, the night is drawing near and in you
is this way to still walk
have you yet to hear it well
and not turn away in the heat of your own creation
have you yet to see what is here to be done
to set all right inside
if you are to be free love, in the heart so true
then settle this tide within and
do not call it back to find something of yourself
within it ...
for there is nothing that can be captured there
in the depths to sink your being now
in the depths so real and rich
will make you sturdier than the most glorious
tree or the mightiest river that roars
the harps will play and the master will appear
in the dust to light your way to heavens gate
then my friend is the time to lay down the false baggage
of unrest
and shed the covers of the body and mental waves ..
here friend there is nothing that can be done
but to let of the water so clear to rise high
as a tide of great rich wisdom
and wash clean the thinking way...
to separate no more the self from the non-self
for all is like a dream there
and the o ne is what is uncovered as lasting wholeness
and awesome wondrous beauty

lift then this mask away so i can see you rightly
precious wanderer
and sit no more on the haunting side of your being
for it has no faith, but only is an empty thought stream
as you can see
there is not a thing there to bring freedom or
you would be over and done on your journey
but not so
as you are still walking onward soul
