now so rare

the seashell holds a secret inside
where the pearl lay like a sweet
gem that has been
churned from an irritant of sand
it has been created from something
that was looked upon before
as being so very ordinary
and not worth a lot of time
but how that churning inside
has turned it into a glorious thing
that is rarified
that is not to be held or seen or
touched or tasted by many
it sits in there, glowing bright
for any that can behold it
