the play goes on

lo friend
the earth does not cling
nor does the glorious tree
that sheds it's leaves in the
time of autumn
the sun knows not your
name and woes of the world
the ocean simply moves
within it's own nature
and the mountain rests
steady, unmoving
against the transient play
the call of the gull
comes from emptiness
and dissolves there again
the seasons are driven
by pure intelligence
the winds blow
the rains fall
the moon shines
the play goes on
whether mind is at
the center or not
the flow of life goes on
without ego
as it always has..

timeless

time heals all wounds
as they say
but illumination is not of time
and is not to be made into something
that evolves
like the growth of an organism
this is completely false
it is just the opposite
truth is exposed when
there is a losing of all that has
been gathered and collected
layer upon layer
these layers are to be shed
and dissolved
one by one
for truth to shine
mind is really very much in
the way of being opposite
of what is to bring
a settled pure peace..

same consciousness

traveling here and there 

and everywhere in between

this is the way of mind 

not truth

it is ever present and still always 

not coming or going 

not arriving 

nor leaving 

it is here as a constant

ever beyond birth

and death

the meat of the scriptures is non-dual

speaking always to the one undivided essence 

that lives in all

this reality that is spoken 

is universal and completely the same 

to all that enter within it 

there are no variances within it 

there are no shades within it 

it is the same always

it is what remains 

when the movement ends

ocean of the real

as the bible rightly states
no one sees the face of God and lives
there are none that can enter into the depths
of the ocean
and be within duality again
the ego dies completely away
and from there onward there is truth only
this is the way of all enlightened beings
the mind is placed on the altar of truth
and Kali takes it all away
all thought of me and mine
these thoughts rise no more
in the liberated mind

nay friend
there is no keeping the world
and entering liberation as well
to be free
one is to cast this all aside
and rest in the heart entirely
then the light comes forward
of it's own
spontaneous as the flow of life

changeless

seated in the lotus position

walking thru the city streets 

wandering through the open valleys

there is no difference within the liberated soul

the same consciousness reigns

under the full moon

at dusk when the light is fading 

at dawn as the sun rises in its glory

in the cave

in the ordinary house 

there is no difference within the liberated soul

the same consciousness reigns

praised 

slandered

loved or shunned

sitting on a throne 

or homeless on a street corner 

there is no difference within the liberated soul

the same consciousness reigns

wearing sannyasi robes 

donning the clothes of ordinary men

naked as the day of birth

carrying a pack with monies 

or possessing nothing 

there is no difference within the liberated soul

the same consciousness reigns

in the fullness of health

in youth and old age

at the time of death with the body racked

with pain

there is no difference within the liberated soul

the same consciousness reigns

speaking eloquently 

or staying silent

calm or filled with fire

in happiness 

in great sorrow

in activity

or inactivity

there is no difference within the liberated soul

the same consciousness reigns

March is the month of Guru's Birthday

Such blessings of deep compassion and wisdom that flows without self-interest from our dear Guru

How much her presence has blessed our lives!

The time of Guru's birthday is a time to be in deep gratitude

The time is one of great auspiciousness as this light of truth has risen to bring refreshment to souls in the dark.

The time is full of great potential to make progress within and be in stillness.

The time is one of basking in the blessing of good company and rejoicing that the path has come into being ...

as this path carved out by our Guru has brought great changes for the good in our lives.

This path has brought peace where there was once tears and confusion

It has lit the way for us to be out of earthly woes and sorrow

It has brought laughter and fresh life  where once there was confinement.

The blessing of the presence of Guru in our lives is beyond measure
