Do you know?

Shiva spent his days in meditation
under the spreading tree
near the glassy water
he was deep inside himself
and did not desire to come out
and be externalized
Shakti/ Parvati, she danced
for him in order to tempt him
to come out
be taken by her, be like a
man that is filled with passion
and wants what he wants
to fulfill his desires
but Shiva did not budge from
his rock-firm stillness to
be united with Parvati
he was so still, he did not
even move when she danced
he remained motionless
strong, steady, like a
mountain
like a rock-firm mountain
in which he exemplifies
he is a mountain of beauty
he is a mountain of LIFE
shed of form
shed of distractive thought
shed of multiplicity
shed of lies
shed of doubts, imaginations
and projections
shed of impure grasping
shed of "me and you" mentality
shed of trickery of Maya
shed of mistaken knowledge
shed of dualistic understanding
shed of prisons of thought
shed of prisons of pride and vanity
shed of prisons of pain of little ego
shed of prisons of pain of
body-form attachment
shed of prisons of body-form
confinement
shed of prisons of body-form disease
shed of prisons of body-form limitations
shed of prisons of body-form
experiences that bring the heart to sorrow
oh souls, Shiva is the mountain
and do you know he is yourself?
do you know he lives in you as this sturdiness,
so beautiful, full, rich and without suffering
do you know?

flowers of light

i tried to write the poem
but my hands did not work
for they knew not the passages to write
i tried to see the words to write
but my eyes grew dim
and could not see the words
the mind it knew so many things
i suppose
but when it came to writing the poem
it did not know anything
it was quiet
and then what flowed was of itself
like a divine river of love
like the wings of angels
and the silence of God
it writes itself
and though the eyes see it coming out
there is no one that writes
it writes itself

she is still
forever still
and graces the world with stillness
and puts stillness in you
she makes herself beautiful in stillness
fresh as the first winter snow
fresh as the earth tended to with care
fresh as the dove lit on the branch
in the moonlight
fresh as love rich in heart
fresh as life with no boundaries
fresh as life with no suffering
fresh as life without shadow
she is the beautiful one
dressed in stillness only
dressed in primal being
dressed in primal oneness
dressed in primal singular oneness
how she lives so joyous
she brings
flowers of light to you now dear one
like presents of heart
take them now
and have this joy too
she brings such gifts of heart

life without stain

she speaks to the soul
of life lived without stain
of life lived without mistaken knowledge
of life lived without the burden of thoughts
for thoughts are the cause of suffering
they are the connection between body and mind
like a knot or the rudra granthi
they make the body appear as
separate and confined to a persona
and make all the world appear
the body is subject to so many things
and will decay in time and be put to
the cremation grounds
or buried or what have you
do not let it be the all of your existence
it is here due to karma and
all that is directed by grace
it knows nothing at all
it is like an inert thing
a vehicle for the soul to experience
life on this plane
a disciple on the path will
not be so enamored by it
for has it not been proven to be
unreliable as the source of happiness?
it is subject to so many things
it dies away someday or today maybe
who knows?
it will be like a corpse soon
but holy it is not
holy it is not
so sisters and brothers when you are
true to God
one does not hold his creations as being
personal
but simply observes quietly
the world and all that comes and goes
in it
how strange it is, yes?
how very mysterious and not understood
by mind at all
it is like a show of color and light
and oddities and beauty and horrors
but this is not to be taken as personal in the least
for when death comes
the mind is stripped of all
identifications
like a dissolution of all that has been collected
and that which was identified as a "me" is no more
but one need not wait until death for this process to begin
and can be purified while in body
in this life now
this is the path
and what remains under it all?
this is LIFE in it's purity
truth
Atman
Buddha
Christ
God

and so friends of heart, may it continue forward
in the most beneficial way
may it continue....

the peaceful o ne

i came in this way of beauty and light
as a dove lit on the branches of sorrow
to aide in those ears that are open
to hearing of the way
i came to haunt this darkness with such a
mighty hand and tongue
of light
that sits in the windows of all that lock
themselves away
so as to say come out friend,
and do not care of this empty voice that
has no true power
i came to fill the heart with great words of peace
and joy so beautiful
and whole as the seas and winds
never ending in the flow of purity as this
is what is real
i came to prey on the dead energies and
put them to sleep so they
have no more steam to rise again ever
i came as a wanderer of the lands and countries
of God
and will not compromise what is true by any means
i came to hear the call of the souls that sit
somewhere else in a place that does not heal
i am here to heal
as a burn and mighty sword that lashes the dark
and paralyzes the wandering ways of mind
i came on the side of beauty, rest and joy
as a lamb of God
that has given up all and everything to this purpose
of love everlasting
i came as freedom in a form
clear as the waters that run fresh from wild
open valleys
and taste sweet to tongues that are thirsty
i came as peace personified
and joy embodied
as earth fresh and deeply churned so as the
small bits of life can
breathe again in the open air
i came as a friend of peace
i came as a danger to the untrue ways
and as a bright star in the night sky
this substance that is what i am
so very whole and sturdy friends
so very much made of no death
and uninterrupted life and light
in this way i came
as light
pure life
glory
and peace
everlasting..
i came..

flow of writing... sundara

dear,
know yourself
like Shiva is with Paravati
one, inseparable and whole
like sundara and her lover
he never laid eyes on her
in the way of wanting her in the flesh
yet loved her truly and deeply
she was young
and not in her mind shell yet
as a one that is fully grown

one evening,
she went to be with her lover
who said he was waiting for her
in the house where he lived
when she went there,
he said he was making a meal
she said to him, dear,
what are you making?
and he said, food for the mind and heart
she said, may i taste it?
he said, indeed, my love
taste the fruit of joy which is non-dual
here, my love
when you eat it
your mind and heart will not ever be
in doubt
you will be stripped of your wandering
thoughts
and always be still
he then gave her the food of love and joy
and perfection
she ate of it
and did not desire anymore worldly ways
she instead, was quiet
then, she loved her companion
as she loved herself
which was the way she was meant to be
as two rivers flow in separation
(it appears from a one in duality)
this food so sweet, given by her companion
which was grace
blessed her with non-dual vision
then, this sense of separation
vanished completely
what beauty is this souls!
two being one
and nothing divided any longer
to bring the heart to ache
yes, there are still emotional releases
but how they are like a cloud burst
come and then gone

sundara, she lived as a saint
she was a buddha
or a still one
she never moved from this state
and her lover
never was to be seen as a one that was
separate any longer
how very sweet

rich in spirit

when he was here
he walked on the mountain daily
the sun shone bright and hot
he wore his white cover
his devotees followed close by
he took sometimes his dog
he was very devoted too
the dog was infused with shakti
like all living with the saint
the animals were not different to him
he loved them the same as all else
for how could there be a difference
to a one in non-dual perfection?

Lakshmi, the cow
she was very still inside
the saint loved her very much
he would pat her head
and whisper sweet words to her
he would smile when she was near
she was so sweet with her
gentle presence
and showed deep devotion
to the saint
when she died
he gave her the blessings of a sage
she is buried on the ashram grounds
and those that come near her
burial grounds
feel the saint's energy of love and joy
as the two were never divided in reality

Lakshmi means wealth
in the way of being rich with
non-dual vision
(not worldly ways and ego attachments)
just pure peace that never wavers
Lakshmi is truth
personified in all that are still
then abundance of love, joy and truth
flow
as a one that is rich with spirit

same heart

we seek to be one always
whether we are searching in the world
to be united with another
or seek to be unified with the source
we have in our heart a great desire
to rid our souls of unrest and suffering ways

the man who seeks his heart in the world
is not always conscious of wanting to be one,
but he still is driven in this way

the sannyasa, he is very conscious of his
desire for freedom
and so he takes up the cloth, the rudraksha beads
and sits by the dhuni fire
with his mind fixed on the source
he cannot be defined by these outer trappings
however
because he may wear these energies within
and be outwardly very ordinary
but inside he is burning always
and knows he cannot turn from the path
of one(ness)/non-duality
even though he may suffer greatly
because he is not a person that wants
to be seen for his strength, beauty or even his words
nothing outward can please him
and make him feel content
he will only be content when his mind is still
and then his life is not his anymore
like the drop dissolves in the ocean
he then is free wherever he is
whether he speaks, it matters not
whether he works in the world, it matters not
whether he blesses others, it matters not
whether he is alone or in company, it matters not
whether he gives satsang, it matters not
whether he gives shaktipat, it matters not
whether he initiates the seeker, it matters not
whether he enjoys another's company, it matters not
whether he enjoys worldly pleasures, it matters not
whether he dresses outrageous or plain, it matters not
whether he is married, single or celibate, it matters not
whether he laughs, cries or breaks down, it matters not
whether he is gentle, intense, shy, awkward, bold, silly, cold, warm,
unmoving, moving, dancing, frolicking, performing rituals,
sleeping, complaining or looking whatever way imaginable, it matters not
it makes no difference to him
because he is not the outward playing out
like a wheel that turns and turns, but the still center remains forever
the same

so sons and daughters
do not be in judgement of the one that is done with the journey
and do not attempt to put judgement on a one that is within the journey either
for judgement is of the ego nature
it comes from the misconception of duality
and stems from wrong understanding

the outward appearances
how diverse it is
yet inside
the heart is the same
like the prism that breaks up into a
multitude of colors
but stems from a singular light
this is the atman
glorious and shed of all colorizations
not separate from anything
0

may all be steady on their journey
and let the heart be the guide
and awaken to the truth
or find
that which you seek in the world
and love and live it fully
